The Storm MMA Gym is located in Hume, Canberra. It is open 6 days a week and closed on Wednesdays. Weekday classes are of an evening and weekends in the mornings. Sessions available include:

The gym is equipped with wall and floor mats, a number of bags and strength & conditioning equipment.

The Stockade Training Centre is a large facility with over 1000m2 of mats and equipment spread over two floors. There are dedicated wrestling and BJJ training areas, a boxing ring and cage walls. There’s also plenty of bags and other gear as well as strength & conditioning equipment. The gym is open 7 days a week and has classes available in a range of styles including:


Class times are split throughout the day on weekdays so there’s morning and evening sessions. The gym is also open outside of class hours for personal training sessions. The Centre caters to all levels from beginners through to the elite. There’s also plenty of kids classes.

Phoenix Combat Sports is a large gym established in Canberra in 1996. Members can access the facilities 24 hours a day upon application and it is staffed afternoons and evenings on weekdays. Group training classes are run for kids of an afternoon and adults of an evening from 5:30pm. There is also training Saturday mornings and afternoons. Sessions available include:



The facilities are available 24 hours and include a boxing ring, floor mats, multiple bags, cardio equipment and other training gear. There is also a strength & conditioning section with a crossfit rig.

Two events in one. WAKO is bringing ringsports and tatami together over two days in Canberra. On show will be the 2020 Pro-Am WAKO Oceania Championships and the WAKO Oceania Games Open. The venue for the event is the AIS Combat Centre

A limited number of accommodation and dining packages at the AIS will be available for travelling athletes.

Fight Smith Boxing is a Canberra based gym open 6 days a week. They run a split timetable with early morning classes 3 days a week, and reopening for afternoon and evening sessions. Saturday is for sparring with an afternoon session. Youth classes are run of an afternoon on weekdays.

The gym is equipped with multiple bags, floor mats, a boxing ring and mirrors.

The Chopper Muay Thai gym is located in the University of Canberra Sport & Fitness Centre. It is open five days a week from Monday through Friday and classes are held of an evening. Sessions available include:


Classes are available for kids, beginners, intermediate and advanced. UC Fit Kickboxing sessions are held a few days a week at lunch time.

The style of training is a combination of traditional muay thai, K1 and boxing styles.

Round 6 of the National Boxing Series will hit Canberra on Saturday 13th June, 2020. This is a fox sports live televised event and will be held at the AIS Arena.

National Boxing Series Round 6 will showcase some of Australia’s best up and coming talent alongside marquee fighters.

The 19th instalment of Capital Fight Shows will return to the Hellenic Club of Canberra this coming February. This year there’ll be some new nitro style bouts which will bring action right from the opening bell. Capital Fight Show 19 is one you don’t want to miss.

Capital Fight Promotions brings you fights in Canberra ACT. The Capital Fight Series cards include both boxing and MMA fights and are regularly held at the Hellenic Club of Canmberra.
