Kids Boxing Gloves

Many boxing gyms have dedicated classes for kids. These can be great for the young ones helping them with focus, discipline and confidence boosting skills. Any any little tacker needs a set of kids boxing gloves if they are going to train.

Whilst many gyms make a variety of boxing gloves available to borrow, it isn’t always easy to grab a set for kids. Especially when kids classes are overflowing as I’ve seen on many occasion. This is where having your own set of Kids Boxing Gloves comes in handy. Besides it’s better hygiene wise to always use your own, plus you can select the size, fit and colour you want. All up a good all round investment.

Check the Sizing

When you’re looking at buying a set, especially online, check the recommended sizing charts and details. These can give you a good guide just by measuring the hand circumference. You do this from just underneath the base knuckles. As many dedicated children’s gloves come in only one size, be sure it’s the size that’ll fit your kids.

You may also wish to check the age recommendations on children’s boxing gloves, and have a chat with your trainer. Some coaches have set sizes they want the kids to wear, especially during sparring.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that when you train in a boxing gym, you wear hand wraps. These will add a bit of bulk to the hands so be sure to allow a bit of room for them. There are kids hand wraps designed for smaller hands, so if you’re in the market for some gloves maybe grab a few sets of these as well.
