Muaythai Australia is a National Sporting Organisation recognised by the Australian Sports Commission. They are the peak body for the sport of Muaythai in Australia. They are a not for profit organisation for the promotion of Muaythai in the country.
Muaythai Australia, or MTA, is endorsed by the IFMA, WMC and the Thai Government.
The MTA conducts competitions throughout Australia to select state and national teams for international competitions. These teams compete at World Championships and other IOC events. Clubs and individuals can register with the MTA to be eligible to compete in events. Upcoming events are listed in the calendar and a find a club page lists member clubs.
The organisation also runs development teams for juniors, females and males.
MTA maintains rankings of Muaythai fighters in Australia. Through their website you can view the latest rankings for males and females across all weight divisions. You can also check out the current WMC & MTA national and state title holders for each division.
